Our main research focuses are:
- Mechanobiology: how proteins sense physical/chemical changes and regulate vascular and tubular function in health and disease states, such as hemostasis, thrombosis, hemophilia, von Willebrand disease, kidney and lung diseases.
- Cell adhesion: how protein-protein interactions regulate cell signaling pathways and lead to long/short-range cell-cell interactions
- Disease modeling and therapeutic method development using iPS cells, gene editing, and organoids
